Lauretta AI was one of 10 technology providers selected for the 2026 National Safety Council Safety Innovation Challenge: Energy Control at the NSC Safety Congress & Expo in Indianapolis. The official exhibitor listing placed Lauretta at Booth T11.
In its July 30 announcement, the National Safety Council described EnergyGuard as using existing cameras and sensors to identify hazardous-energy risks and deliver real-time worker alerts. That public description explains the intended safety workflow; it is not a published measure of system performance.
What Lauretta brought to the challenge
EnergyGuard applies physical AI to help safety teams understand changing conditions around hazardous-energy work. The goal is to connect observations from existing infrastructure with timely alerts that support workers and responsible operators.
Why energy control matters
Hazardous energy can be chemical, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, or thermal. NSC says the challenge is intended to identify technologies that can help organizations control these risks, strengthen safety practices, and prevent serious incidents and fatalities.
An evidence-led approach to physical AI
Lauretta’s society-oriented approach treats operational evidence as a way to investigate conditions, learn from real environments, and support accountable action. The emphasis is progressive rather than defensive: understand more, alert earlier, and keep human judgment central.
The Indianapolis event and result
Lauretta’s official NSC exhibitor profile listed Booth T11. The challenge took place during the September 11–17 Congress, with the Expo and challenge activity on September 14–16. NSC announced NanoSieve as the challenge winner on September 16; Lauretta was among the 10 selected providers, not one of the three finalists named in that announcement.
NSC says all 10 selected providers are eligible for its Work to Zero Pilot Grant Program. Eligibility is an opportunity for future evaluation, not evidence of a Lauretta pilot award or deployment.
What is established—and what remains to be measured
The public record establishes Lauretta’s selection, the EnergyGuard product description, the Booth T11 listing, and NanoSieve’s challenge win. It does not establish a Lauretta-specific performance outcome or pilot result. Useful next evidence would include operating conditions, alert quality, response times, worker experience, and how uncertainty is handled during real-world pilots.
About Lauretta AI
Lauretta AI develops physical AI and video-intelligence systems that help people understand real-world environments, investigate traceable evidence, and turn observations into accountable action.
